Pig-nosed Turtle / Fly River Turtle

The Pig-nosed Turtle, also known as the Fly River Turtle, is a rare and unique freshwater turtle. Its most distinctive features are its pig-like snout and paddle-like flippers, similar to those of sea turtles, which allow it to glide gracefully through the water as if it were "flying." It has a soft, leathery grey or brown shell, resembling a softshell turtle but with a solid bony structure underneath. It is almost entirely aquatic. At the Bueng Boraphet Aquarium, the Pig-nosed Turtle is a major attraction due to its elegant swimming style and extraordinary appearance.
