The External Architecture
The exterior of the Honmaru Goten showcases a sprawling, single-story Shoin-zukuri design. The design is defined by a grand "Karahafu" (curved gable) entrance, dark wood post-and-beam construction, and expansive, protective eaves that shelter the sliding screens.
