Pong Yup is a natural tourist attraction located in Tha Khai Subdistrict, Suan Phueng District, Ratchaburi Province. It was formed by long-term natural erosion and water runoff, causing some of the topsoil to collapse and create deep ravines, earthen cliffs, and uniquely shaped earthen pillars. The resulting landscape is complex and beautiful, resembling a small canyon or a labyrinth of earthen walls. This has made it a popular tourist destination for travelers and photographers seeking unique landscapes in Ratchaburi Province. The surrounding area remains tranquil, surrounded by the natural beauty and mountains of Suan Phueng District, making it ideal for walks, relaxation, and photography amidst natural scenery unlike any other tourist spot.

The defining characteristic of Pong Yup is the layered soil erosion, revealing varying colors and textures. Some areas resemble high earthen walls, while others are deep pits and winding pathways like a natural labyrinth. The earthen pillars have diverse shapes due to the soil erosion and water flow, giving each area its own unique character. The scenery is particularly beautiful during the morning and evening when sunlight reflects off the earthen surfaces, creating stunning interplay of light and shadow. There are no large structures obstructing the view, allowing tourists to freely explore the area along the designated trails. Some viewpoints offer clear views of the soil ravines and cliffs. Some areas may be steep or loamy, so caution is advised, especially after rainfall when the soil can be slippery. However, the period after the rainy season is ideal for sightseeing, as the surrounding nature is lush and the weather is cool and comfortable.

• From Ratchaburi city center, take the route towards Suan Phueng District (Highway 3087). Before reaching the main Suan Phueng town area, look for the sign indicating "Pong Yup." Turn left onto the local road and follow the signs for approximately 5 kilometers.

• Visit during the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat.

• Early morning and sunset lighting are best for photography.

• Wear comfortable shoes with good grip for walking on uneven ground.
