“Wang Tat Waterfall has a high water volume almost throughout the year, as it originates from the high mountains in the park. The waterfall cascades over several levels before flowing into the lower pool, creating a spectacular and refreshing scenery. It is ideal for visitors who enjoy hiking and immersing themselves in peace and tranquility. The waterfall is part of the Phrae River, an important waterway in the area, and is not far from Chang Tok Waterfall.”

Wang Tat Waterfall is situated within Phu Suan Sai National Park in Na Haeo District, Loei Province. It is a large waterfall with scenic views year-round, especially during the rainy season when the water is abundant and flows rapidly into a large pool. Visitors can admire the cascading layers and the water flowing over natural rock formations.

The waterfall originates from the Phrae River, an important water source in the area. The water passes over multiple rock levels before reaching the lower pool, creating an impressive and cool atmosphere throughout the area.

The best time to visit is from late rainy season to early winter (around September to December) when water levels are beautiful and the weather is comfortable. During this period, visitors can enjoy hiking and photographing nature.

Wang Tat Waterfall is also an important ecological site within the park’s montane forest. The area hosts a variety of plants and wildlife, including waterfall birds and small forest animals, making it a point of interest for birdwatchers and nature conservation enthusiasts.

Although it is more accessible than some other waterfalls in Loei Province, visitors still need to walk about 4 kilometers from the park office, making it suitable for those who enjoy light adventure and close contact with nature.

The area around the waterfall is suitable for relaxing, picnicking, and swimming in safe spots. Caution is advised during the rainy season due to strong water currents.

Wang Tat Waterfall is also near Chang Tok Waterfall, allowing visitors to plan multiple stops within Phu Suan Sai National Park in one day.
