In earlier times, local villagers used the cave and rocky grounds for Buddhist rituals and community festivals, such as the Rocket Festival (Bun Bang Fai), the Beginning of Buddhist Lent (Khao Phansa), and the End of Buddhist Lent (Ok Phansa). Thus, Wat Tham Waeo Sin Chai has long been a spiritual and cultural center for the community. Today, the temple continues to welcome devotees who come to pay respects, chant, and practice meditation.
