“Tourist attractions in the park include Phlio Waterfall (the most beautiful in Chanthaburi), Khlong Narai Waterfall, and Trok Nong Waterfall.”

Phlio Waterfall National Park is a national park located in Chanthaburi Province. It covers areas within Mueang District, Laem Sing District, Khlung District, and Makham District, with a total area of approximately 134.50 square kilometers or 84,062.50 rai. The park features lush forests and a complex mountain range, which keeps the weather cool and pleasant throughout the year. Elevations range from 20 to 924 meters above sea level, with the highest point being Khao Mab Wa Krok, standing at 924 meters. The area is also the source of several important waterways. Phlio Waterfall National Park is located about 14 kilometers from Chanthaburi city, and the paved road throughout the route makes visiting the park convenient and comfortable.

The park's prominent natural and historical features include Phlio Waterfall, where two streams flow down into a clear pool below, serving as a habitat for a large number of the huge Mahseer barb fish (Sororubimarius), a unique attraction that delights tourists who feed the fish.

This park is suitable for year-round recreation due to its cool climate and diverse activities, ranging from short, shady nature trails through the tropical rainforest to swimming in the waterfall in designated safe areas. During the rainy season (May - October), the waterfall has the highest volume of water, offering a spectacular display of natural power. The cool season (November - February) is considered the best time for relaxation due to the most pleasant temperatures.

How to Get There
  • Private Car: Travel along Sukhumvit Road towards Chanthaburi. At approximately Kilometer Marker 347, turn left onto a short unpaved road (about 2 km) leading to the park headquarters.

  • Public Transport: Take a bus from Bangkok to the Chanthaburi Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to a local songthaew (Mazda truck) on the Chanthaburi–Phlio Waterfall route, which can be boarded near the Namphu Market in the city center.
