“Experience the tranquility of a single-tier waterfall approximately 4 meters high, cascading into a large emerald-green pool, and enjoy forest trekking through a lush tropical rainforest rich in rare plant species.”

Suan Khan Waterfall is a natural attraction that remains relatively unknown compared to other waterfalls in Nakhon Si Thammarat, allowing it to retain a strong sense of peace and pristine beauty. The waterfall is part of Khao Luang National Park, with its water source originating from the majestic Khao Luang mountain range.

The waterfall consists of a single wide tier, standing at approximately 4 meters in height_. Although not very tall, its distinctive feature lies in the broad rock platform where water flows gently before plunging into a deep, cool emerald-colored pool below—ideal for refreshing swims during hot days.

Beyond the waterfall itself, the surrounding environment is equally captivating. The area is enveloped by dense tropical rainforest, home to a wide variety of plant species, especially the striking giant tree ferns (Pa Maha Sam Dam) that create a unique and enchanting atmosphere. Visitors must park their vehicles at the national park ranger station and continue on foot along a forest trail of approximately 2 kilometers. The route includes small streams and gentle slopes, offering an authentic jungle trekking experience.

Around February, the scenery becomes particularly beautiful as the forest begins to change color and wildflowers bloom along the trail. Suan Khan Waterfall is therefore an ideal destination for travelers seeking to disconnect from the outside world, relax, and immerse themselves in the sounds of flowing water and forest birds.

Due to its relatively small size and limited visitor numbers, environmental management here remains excellent. Most visitors are nature lovers who value conservation. For those who appreciate quiet nature escapes combined with a touch of adventure, Suan Khan Waterfall is a perfect choice for a Nakhon Si Thammarat trip.
