Thawan Chai Beach is located in Village No. 3, Ban Tha Phae, Lamae Subdistrict, Lamae District, Chumphon Province. It is the last beach of Chumphon Province before entering Surat Thani Province. The beach is wide and stretches for a long distance, with smooth white sand, clean water, and suitable for swimming.

The highlight that adds beauty and uniqueness here is the line of coconut trees neatly arranged along the shore, creating a shady landscape and a scenic photo spot. • By private car: From Phetkasem Road (Highway 4), drive along the main route to the Thung Sawan Intersection (entrance to Lamae District). Turn into Lamae District and drive through the town, then turn left onto Highway 4019 for about 5–7 kilometers to reach Thawan Chai Beach.

• By public transport: Take a Southern Bus to the Lamae District Bus Terminal. From the town, use a local motorcycle taxi or public transport (e.g., songthaew) to reach Thawan Chai Beach. The travel time is short.

• Visit in the early morning to enjoy the sunrise and the most scenic views. During midday, relax under the shade of the coconut trees.

• Swimming is allowed, but be careful of strong waves during monsoon season and closely supervise young children since there is no lifeguard.

• Try buying fresh seafood from local fishermen or support small local restaurants and cafés to promote the local community.

• Keep the beach clean by not littering to preserve the ecosystem and natural beauty of the area.

• Bring sunscreen, hats, or sunglasses as there are no sunbeds or rental umbrellas like at large tourist beaches.
