“Experience the wonder of forests and waterways at Than Bok Khorani, an ecotourism destination that remarkably combines the richness of emerald-colored spring streams, historic caves, and ancient rock paintings.”
Than Bok Khorani National Park is one of the forests and natural landmarks that most clearly reflects the valuable biodiversity of Krabi Province. While other national parks may present only one aspect of nature, Than Bok Khorani is a special area that combines the tranquility of tropical rainforest, the mystery of ancient caves, and the beauty of islands in the sea into one destination. The most memorable charm of this national park is its peaceful atmosphere, filled with the coolness of the forest and the gentle sound of flowing water that welcomes travelers to pause, relax, and absorb the energy of nature.
The main attractions that form the heart of the park and have made it famous are distributed throughout several important highlights. It begins with the “Than Bok Khorani Area,” a natural stream flowing down in small waterfall tiers over rocks within a valley. The water here is clear emerald green because it springs from limestone mountains and is surrounded by lush vegetation such as freshwater ashoka trees and Xylocarpus trees. For those who enjoy history and adventure, the park also hides wonders at “Phi Hua To Cave,” also known as Skull Cave, a limestone cave located within a mangrove forest. Inside are prehistoric paintings over 3,000 years old depicting humans, animals, and geometric shapes in more than one hundred images. Another highlight is “Tham Lot,” a limestone tunnel beneath a mountain where visitors can paddle canoes through and admire stalactites and stalagmites at close range. In addition, the marine area of the park includes the “Hong Islands,” a world-class destination featuring Bileh Bay with its fine white sand beach, a hidden lagoon in the middle of the sea, and a 360-degree panoramic viewpoint overlooking spectacular island scenery.
The outstanding value of Than Bok Khorani is not only its visual beauty but also the experience of exploring nature trails that connect ecosystems from terrestrial forests and mangrove forests to the Andaman Sea. Visiting Than Bok Khorani National Park is therefore a complete and fulfilling travel experience. Visitors can learn history through ancient rock paintings, relax in emerald-colored streams, and be amazed by magnificent natural landscapes. It is a destination that creates meaningful memories and highlights the wonders of Krabi in an unforgettable way.
