The pier area is well-equipped with passenger terminals, restaurants, shops, and ticket counters. In addition, shuttle bus services are available, connecting Chumphon city center and Chumphon Railway Station directly to the main ferry terminals, ensuring smooth travel for passengers.

Another popular option for travelers is the overnight sleeping boat, departing from the old Pak Nam Chumphon Pier to Ko Tao. This service allows budget travelers to save both time and accommodation costs by sleeping onboard and arriving at the island the following morning.

• By private car: From Chumphon city, drive along Highway No. 4119 (Chumphon–Pak Nam Road) toward Pak Nam Chumphon.

• By public transport: Take a local songthaew (shared pickup truck) on the Chumphon–Pak Nam Chumphon route from the city. Get off at the Pak Nam community and take a motorcycle taxi to the pier area.

• Different ferry companies may operate from their own separate piers within the Pak Nam Chumphon area, so it’s important to check the pier name on your ticket before traveling.

• If you travel by public transport, allow around 45 minutes to 1 hour from Chumphon city to the pier, and plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure for check-in and ticket confirmation.

• During the high season (March–September), ferry schedules may be more frequent. It is recommended to book your tickets in advance, especially during public holidays and long weekends.
