“Admire the 39-meter-tall bronze Ganesha in the 'Success and Mercy' posture, crafted from 854 individual bronze pieces as a global spiritual landmark.”
The Khlong Khuean Ganesh International Park is the site where the world's largest standing bronze Ganesha statue is enshrined. The purpose of its construction is to promote cultural tourism in Chachoengsao Province and to bring auspicious blessings to Buddhists. The Ganesha statue here is named The Bronze Standing Ganesha: Success and Fulfillment. The deity stands 30 meters tall, and when including the base, the total height_ exceeds 39 meters. Its most prominent feature is the use of 854 individual bronze pieces, making it a highly complex and exquisite work of metal sculpture.
The history and significance of Ganesha in Chachoengsao Province are linked to the belief in the God of Success. The people of Paet Riu (Chachoengsao) and the majority of Thai people respect Him as the supreme teacher of all arts and the remover of obstacles. The reason why Chachoengsao is popular for building large Ganesha statues (such as the sitting posture at Wat Saman Rattanaram and the reclining posture at Wat Pho Bang Khla) stems from a vision to establish the province as a diverse center for worshipping the deity. This reflects strong faith and attracts pilgrims from all over the world to this land.
The architecture of the Ganesha statue at Khlong Khuean has a special characteristic: in His four hands, He holds agricultural crops, including a banana, a sugar cane shoot, a mango, and a jackfruit. This reflects the abundance of Chachoengsao Province as a major agricultural hub. The statue is enshrined in a majestic posture with a face filled with mercy, standing tall along the banks of the Bang Pakong River. The park's surrounding area is designed to be shaded, featuring beautiful gardens and walkways where visitors can enjoy close-up views of the river, creating a peaceful atmosphere suitable for meditation or religious ceremonies.
For tourists and devotees, a journey here is not only to pray for success in career or trade but also to study the art of creating a massive metal sculpture that unites the hearts and skills of Thai craftsmen. Additionally, inside the park, there is an exhibition area about the history of Ganesha and other deities, as well as a simulation of the lifestyle of Khlong Khuean gardeners. This makes the site a perfect cultural learning center for all ages.
The Khlong Khuean Ganesh International Park is, therefore, a symbol of faith merged with the agricultural way of life. It is a destination focused on providing inspiration and success to visitors under the grace of the Great Deity.
