Both King of the Vikings and "Dragon Slayer" Viking Sword are set together in the same place, located in the Triangle of Viking - Waterford city center.
King of the Vikings, simulating Blackfriars Abbey (ruin) to be dynamic virtual reality experience gets you up close and personal with the Viking warlords who founded Waterford over 1,100 years ago. Viking re-enactors take you on an adventure from a replica Viking house, through epic Viking battles to uncover the Viking history of Waterford and Ireland. The time I visited in Jan 2019, there was no more such a virtual reality.
Viking Sword (Dragon Slayer) is the sculpture of the longest sword in the world. Crafted by local artist John Hayes, the intricate craving tell the story of the Vikings in Ireland and Waterford from AD795 to 1170. The Viking Age ended with the marriage of Strongbow to Aoife McMurrough, after the Normans captured Waterfords.
