Doi Saket Hot Spring is a natural hot spring located in Ban Pa Miang, Doi Saket District, Chiang Mai Province, amidst lush forests and mountains. The atmosphere is peaceful and cool throughout the year, perfect for those seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and a close encounter with nature.

This hot spring originates from geothermal heat that pushes mineral water to the surface. The source has a temperature of approximately 80–90 degrees Celsius, allowing eggs to be boiled quickly. Tourists often buy chicken or quail eggs from shops within the hot spring area and boil them in the hot pools, which is a popular activity for visitors of all ages.

The area has been developed into a wellness tourism destination, while still preserving its natural charm. It features a public foot bath where mineral water flows through a long stone channel, allowing visitors to sit and soak their feet to relax muscles, stimulate blood circulation, and reduce travel fatigue.

For those seeking a full mineral bath experience, there are also communal mineral bathing pools (separated for men and women) and private mineral bath rooms, suitable for families, couples, or those desiring privacy. The natural mineral water here contains natural minerals believed to help moisturize the skin, relieve aches and pains, and promote relaxation after bathing.

A unique highlight of Doi Saket Hot Spring, distinguishing it from many other hot springs in Chiang Mai, is its tranquil, uncrowded atmosphere, surrounded by natural forests. Tourists often visit here in conjunction with exploring Ban Pa Miang Village, Khun Chae National Park, Mae Kampong Waterfall, Mae Kampong Village, Huai Lan Reservoir, and other attractions along the Chiang Mai–Chiang Rai route. • From Chiang Mai city, take Highway 118 (Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai route). Drive past Doi Saket District towards Chiang Rai Province. Along the way, you will pass Khun Chae National Park. Around kilometer marker 40-42, there will be a sign on the right indicating the entrance to Ban Pa Miang and Doi Saket Hot Spring. Turn into the community road and drive a short distance. The road is paved and concrete, easily accessible by all types of vehicles, including motorcycles.

• For the egg-boiling activity, local shops within the hot spring area sell woven baskets containing chicken and quail eggs, complete with seasoning sauce, making it convenient to drop them into the pools specifically for boiling.

• It is advisable to bring a change of clothes if you plan to soak in the private rooms or communal pools. Also, drink plenty of clean water before and after soaking in the hot spring to prevent dehydration.

• Hot mineral bathing should not exceed 15–20 minutes per session. Individuals with underlying health conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or diabetes should exercise caution and follow staff recommendations.

• It is recommended to visit during the morning or in the winter season to experience the particularly beautiful atmosphere of steam rising above the hot spring pools.
