Rai Jai Rak Garden is an agri-tourism destination within the Rai Jai Rak Project, operated by the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage in collaboration with government agencies. Its purpose is to transform Tha Ton Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province—an area that once faced drug problems, poverty, and forest encroachment—into a model for sustainable community development based on royal initiatives, by creating occupations, restoring watershed forests, and promoting environmentally friendly agriculture.

A highlight of the project is Rai Jai Rak Garden, a beautifully designed winter flower garden on a hill. Various flowering plants are cultivated year-round, such as cosmos, chrysanthemum, salvia, marigolds, and many other cool-climate flowers, causing the landscape to change colors with the seasons. It features walking paths, photo spots, resting pavilions, and viewpoints offering panoramic views of Mae Ai District's intricate mountains. It's ideal for relaxation, photography, and enjoying nature, especially during the winter when flowers are in full bloom.

Within the area, there is also Kad Luang Rai Jai Rak, a community market serving as a hub for quality produce from the project's farmers. This includes organic vegetables, seasonal fruits, tea, coffee, honey, natural duck eggs, processed products, as well as handicrafts and woven fabrics from local ethnic groups. Tourists can purchase souvenirs, sample local food, and enjoy beverages from the on-site coffee shop, with all proceeds returning to the community and helping to create local jobs.

Beyond the beautiful flower gardens, the project also serves as a learning center for community development and sustainable agriculture. It features demonstration agricultural plots, greenhouses, water management systems, economic crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and natural resource conservation. It is open for students, academics, farmers, and tourists to visit throughout the year, making it a tourist destination that perfectly blends nature, learning, and community quality of life development.

During the winter season, approximately from November to February, Rai Jai Rak Garden is particularly popular due to the cool weather, flowers blooming across the area, and the chance to witness morning mist on some days. This makes it one of the most popular agri-tourism destinations and photo spots in Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province.

• From Chiang Mai city, take Highway No. 107 (Chiang Mai–Fang) passing through Mae Rim, Mae Taeng, Chiang Dao, Chai Prakan, and Fang districts. Then continue towards Mae Ai District, crossing the Kok River bridge in Tha Ton Subdistrict. Afterwards, take Highway No. 1089 (Fang–Mae Chan) heading towards Chiang Rai Province. Rai Jai Rak Project is located by the highway with clear signage and a parking lot for tourists.
