“The Chedi Kaew or Crystal Pagoda,Vipassana medutatuon center ”
The village is overlooked by a striking hilltop Buddhist temple known as Wat Tha Ton. One of these is the Standing Buddha,over 35 feet tall.
The Wat Thaton is open from 8 am until 5 pm. Admission is free
From Chiang Mai you can get to Ban Thaton by bus. The trip takes around 5 hours.
