“Experience the ambiance of a riverside rainforest, taste quality Arabica coffee from the Royal Project, learn about highland agriculture, and relax amidst nature.”

The Teen Tok Royal Project Development Center is one of the Royal Project development centers established in 1981 under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Rama IX. Its purpose was to promote occupations and improve the quality of life for highland villagers, reduce opium cultivation and shifting cultivation, and restore natural resources and headwaters to their abundance.

The center's area is located in Huai Kaeo Subdistrict, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province, on the Mae Kampong route. With its high altitude and cool climate throughout the year, it is suitable for cultivating Arabica coffee, various temperate crops, and temperate ornamental flowers. Currently, coffee from this area is considered one of the Royal Project's prominent products. Efforts are made to promote it from cultivation and processing to coffee bean roasting, creating added value for local farmers.

In addition to coffee, the center also serves as a source for experimenting with and promoting the cultivation of highland economic crops, including shiitake mushrooms, passion fruit, macadamia, avocado, organic vegetables, temperate fruits, as well as orchids and ornamental plants. It provides knowledge transfer on modern agriculture, soil and water conservation, and sustainable natural resource management to local farmers.

The Teen Tok Royal Project Development Center is designed to blend harmoniously with nature, with a stream flowing through its heart, wooden bridges, walking paths, and shady flower gardens, creating a peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxation. Visitors can enjoy food and drinks by the stream, savoring dishes made from fresh Royal Project ingredients such as organic salad vegetables, freshly roasted Arabica coffee, fruit drinks, and healthy meals.

Another popular spot is the Teen Tok Royal Project Coffee Shop, which serves coffee made from the produce of local farmers. Tourists can purchase coffee beans, processed products, tea, herbs, fresh vegetables, seasonal fruits, and quality goods from the Royal Project as souvenirs. Additionally, there are flower nurseries for orchids and experimental agricultural plots open for visits at appropriate times.

For those wishing to stay overnight, the center offers Teen Tok Royal Project accommodation with a riverside ambiance, surrounded by natural forests. It is suitable for those seeking cool weather and tranquility before continuing their journey to Mae Kampong village, which is only about 4–5 kilometers away. Many people choose to stop here for a meal or an overnight stay before heading to major attractions in Mae On District.

With its excellence in highland agricultural development, natural resource conservation, and educational tourism, the Teen Tok Royal Project Development Center is another attraction that reflects the royal initiative for sustainable development, offering a relaxing experience amidst the beautiful nature of Chiang Mai Province.
