“The longest coastal elevated road in Chonburi, connecting urban life with the beauty of the Gulf of Thailand, serving as a perfect leisure spot and a panoramic viewpoint for endless ocean vistas.”

Chonlamarkwithi 84th Anniversary Bridge locally known as the Seaside Road, was initially developed to alleviate traffic congestion in Chonburi city. However, due to its breathtaking scenery, it quickly transformed into a major tourist destination. The bridge is designed to stand high above the shoreline, stretching parallel to Chonburi’s municipal boundaries toward Bang Saen. Along the way, visitors can witness the abundance of mangrove forests and the traditional lifestyle of local fishermen who anchor their boats during low tide.

The unique appeal that captivates tourists is the beautifully curved route along the coast, which becomes one of the most romantic sunset viewpoints in the evening. During this time, the orange glow of the sky reflects off the sea surface and the mangroves, creating a stunning visual display. Furthermore, the bridge features designated parking zones and rest areas at intervals, allowing tourists to step out, breathe the fresh air, and take photos without disrupting traffic.

In terms of lifestyle, this bridge is a popular recreation spot for Chonburi locals. In the evening, the area comes alive with people jogging, cycling, or enjoying family activities. The spacious layout and constant sea breeze provide a very relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, at the base of the bridge, there are fresh seafood restaurants and chic cafes that offer unobstructed sea views, making it a complete destination for a short weekend getaway.

For photographers and road trip lovers, Chonlamarkwithi is a must-visit Scenic Route. The lines of the bridge structure against the horizon and the deep blue of the sea create modern yet peaceful photographic compositions. Every detail, from the decorative street lamps to the seaside walkways, tells a story of development that remains harmoniously intertwined with the essence of a traditional coastal town.

This bridge serves not only as a transportation link but also as an effective coastal erosion barrier, with its elevated structure meticulously designed to allow seawater circulation and preserve the integrity of the mangrove ecosystem below. During low tide, visitors can observe coastal wildlife such as fiddler crabs and mudskippers appearing on the mudflats, showcasing the successful harmony between modern engineering and natural conservation. Furthermore, along the 7-kilometer stretch, the bridge features bas-relief sculptures and decorative lamp posts that narrate Chonburi’s unique identity, including marine life figures and local wickerwork patterns, allowing travelers to experience local Soft Power while on the move. At night, the bridge's LED lighting system illuminates the coastline like a string of pearls, creating a captivating charm and drawing visitors to experience a romantic seaside ambiance that is entirely different from the daytime.
