“Witness tens of thousands of migratory waterfowl in winter, relax on floating rafts, or enjoy walking, running, and cycling around the reservoir on a 6-kilometer loop, all amid peaceful sunset scenery. ”
Bueng Na Rang Reservoir covers an area of over 500 rai and plays a vital role as a natural “monkey cheek” flood retention area for Phichit Province. It is also one of the largest freshwater fish breeding grounds in the region, supporting the livelihoods of local communities for generations.
A major highlight occurs during the winter months from November to January, when large flocks of migratory waterfowl escape the cold and gather at the reservoir. In some years, their numbers reach the tens of thousands, creating a rare and impressive natural spectacle for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts.
Surrounding the reservoir is an unpaved road approximately 6 kilometers long, popular among locals and visitors for walking, jogging, and cycling, especially during the cooler morning and evening hours.
Visitors can also relax by the water, enjoy stunning sunset views, feed fish at designated areas, and during certain seasons, use floating rafts for leisure or dining while enjoying cool breezes and a tranquil atmosphere.
