Kad Muang Phi (Muang Phi Nature Trail), also known locally as Doi Hoyot, is a natural and geological attraction located in Ban Sai Khao, Sri Dong Yen sub-district, Chai Prakan district, Chiang Mai province. Currently, this area has been developed into the Muang Phi Nature Trail, approximately 1 kilometer long, taking about 45–60 minutes to walk. Along the trail, interpretive signs provide information on the formation of earth pillars, soil characteristics, the ecosystem of the dipterocarp forest, and the importance of natural resource conservation. Visitors can enjoy the views, take photos, and study geological phenomena up close, making it suitable for all ages.

The surrounding area is a natural dipterocarp forest, an ecosystem commonly found in northern Thailand. It hosts various native plant species such as Shorea obtusa (Teng), Pentacme suavis (Rang), Dipterocarpus obtusifolius (Hiang), Dipterocarpus tuberculatus (Pluang), and numerous shrubs, as well as being a habitat for birds and small wildlife. How to Get There

• From Chiang Mai city, take Highway 107 (Chiang Mai–Fang), heading past Mae Taeng and Chiang Dao districts, and then enter Chai Prakan district. Upon reaching Sri Dong Yen sub-district, turn onto a local road towards Ban Sai Khao. Drive for approximately 2–3 kilometers, and you will find the entrance sign for Kad Muang Phi (Muang Phi Nature Trail). There is a parking area for private cars, motorcycles, and vans, making it easily accessible. The journey from Chiang Mai city takes about 2–2.5 hours (approximately 120 kilometers).
