“A scenic viewpoint overlooking Chiang Mai city and the surrounding mountains, with food and drink vendors nearby — an excellent place to admire the city, especially during sunset.”
This viewpoint is situated along the road up to Doi Suthep, near Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan. Although the area is not very large, it provides clear views of Chiang Mai city and the surrounding mountain ranges. The atmosphere is peaceful and ideal for relaxing and taking photos. There are food and drink carts available for visitors. While the sunset itself is less spectacular here because the sun sets behind Doi Suthep, the view of the city and the surrounding mountains remains stunning.
How to Get There
You can drive or rent a motorcycle and take Sriwichai Road up the mountain. It takes about 20-30 minutes from downtown Chiang Mai.
