Chao Pho Thep

Chao Pho Thep is assumed to be a sandstone deity statue crafted in the ancient Lopburi-Khmer art style. He was likely an original sculpture decorating one of the ancient prangs within Wat Nikrot centuries ago. Locals believe he is the guardian spirit who protects the area and the souls of those from the old execution grounds. Today, the image is enshrined in a specially built shrine for devotees to pay their respects and seek blessings.
