The Southern Area of the Temple

South of the Great Vihara, you'll find a small Ordination Hall ("Ubosot"), built during the reign of King Narai the Great. This hall stands out with its windows and entrance arches, all designed in the French (Western) architectural style. Surrounding the main prang in the southern section are several satellite stupas ("Chedi Rai") boasting well-preserved stucco motifs. Near the southern wall, there's also a collection of sandstone sculptures and broken Buddha image fragments awaiting restoration. This area beautifully showcases a blend of different artistic periods and provides a tranquil place to appreciate archaeological details.
