The Ordination Hall, or Phra Ubosot, of Wat Lai is located separately from the nine-bay Vihara and the main ancient complex. The building's architecture reflects later restoration periods while maintaining the elegance typical of Thai Buddhist art. Inside the hall, a majestic Buddha image in the subduing Mara posture is enshrined as the principal statue, possessing a sacred beauty equal to that in the Vihara. The hall is surrounded by a low boundary wall and marked by sema stones, which designate the consecrated ground. The surrounding area is shady and quiet, making it an ideal spot for devotees seeking a peaceful space for prayer and meditation. This area clearly reflects the local lifestyle where religious activities continue to flourish to this day.
