Phra Sri Arn at Wat Lai is a historic sacred image with a unique appearance unlike any other. It is depicted as a Buddhist monk with a shaved head, no halo above the crown, and seated in a cross-legged position similar to a common human. Local tradition holds that paying respects and asking for blessings will bring prosperity, peace, and great auspiciousness to one's life. The current image seen today was reconstructed during the reign of King Rama V to replace the original damaged one. Every year, the Phra Sri Arn Procession is held, serving as a major merit-making event that gathers the immense faith of the people of Lopburi to commemorate his great compassion and merit.
