The Phra Sri Ariyamettaya image enshrined at Wat Lai features a distinct and unique appearance, depicted as a Buddhist monk with a shaved head, no halo above the crown, and seated in a cross-legged position like an ordinary human. This differs significantly from other depictions of Phra Sri Arn, which are typically shown in royal attire. According to local legend, the Bodhisattva descended to Earth as a monk and resided at this temple to bless sentient beings. Local people hold a profound belief that paying respects to this image will bring happiness, abundance, and the chance to be reborn in His future era. Every year, a grand "Phra Sri Arn Procession" is held to invite the sacred image out for devotees to perform bathing rites and worship closely.
