• By Car: From Khao Lak, take Phetkasem Road (Highway 4) heading north. Look for the sign for Nang Thong Beach on the left, then follow the road a short distance to the beachfront parking area.

• By Public Transport: Take a bus from Phuket to Ranong or a local minivan and get off in the Khao Lak (Khuk Khak) area. From there, walk or take a local taxi to the beach.

• Check tide times in advance—visit during low tide for the best view of the black sand.

• Recommended activities include photography on reflective black sand, strolling along the shore, visiting the lighthouse, and enjoying the sunset.

• Wear easy-to-remove footwear for walking on the sand, and help preserve the area by not taking any sand away.
