“Noen 1255 offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, stunning sunrises and sunsets, and is also a historic site with the Phra Phuttharaksa statue honoring the brave Isan warriors.”
Noen 1255 is part of the high mountain ranges of Phu Suan Sai National Park, standing at 1,255 meters above sea level and about 1 km from Noen 1408, the highest point in the park. The surrounding terrain features complex mountains and dense highland forests.
Visitors can enjoy wide, expansive views, including the Thai–Laos border mountain ranges. During late rainy season to early winter (September–February), there is a chance to witness a beautiful sea of mist covering the valleys in the morning, creating a romantic and breathtaking atmosphere.
Historically, Noen 1255 was part of the Ban Rom Klao battlefield during the 1980s along the Thai–Laos border. Today, the Phra Phuttharaksa statue stands as a memorial to honor the soldiers who lost their lives in the conflict.
The peaceful environment is ideal for hiking, nature study, and combining scenic enjoyment with historical exploration. Visitors can also camp at Phu Hua Hom campsite, located near the viewpoint.
