“Giant bamboo house design in the heart of Doi Inthanon. Enjoy views of mountains and terraced rice fields. Relax amidst cool weather and tranquil nature.”
Giant Bamboo Hut is a nature-focused accommodation distinguished by its large bamboo architecture. It is located on Doi Inthanon, in Ban Luang Subdistrict, Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai Province, near Ban Mae Klang Luang Village, one of the famous tourist communities for its terraced rice fields and the way of life of the Pga K'nyau people. This makes it popular among those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend time relaxing in nature.
The main building is designed using bamboo as a primary material, blending local construction wisdom with contemporary design. The result is a unique, strong, airy, and well-ventilated large structure. The use of bamboo, a renewable material, also reflects the concept of ecotourism and sustainable living with the environment.
The surrounding atmosphere is encircled by forests, mountains, streams, and the terraced rice fields of Doi Inthanon. Tourists can relax, breathe fresh air, listen to the sounds of nature, and enjoy the changing scenery with the seasons, especially during the rainy season when the rice fields are lush green, and from late rainy season to winter with morning mist and cool weather, perfect for photography and relaxation.
In addition to accommodation services, Giant Bamboo Hut is also a popular photo spot. Tourists can visit the bamboo structure, enjoy coffee, and experience the tranquil natural atmosphere. Furthermore, they can travel to nearby attractions such as Ban Mae Klang Luang Phra Mahathat Naphamethinidon-Naphaphonphumisiri, Kew Mae Pan, Sirithan Waterfall, and Doi Inthanon Summit, all located along the same route.
With a blend of distinctive bamboo architecture, natural beauty, and a serene atmosphere, Giant Bamboo Hut is another ideal destination for those who want to experience the charm of Doi Inthanon from a different perspective, encompassing relaxation, photography, and truly immersing themselves in the local way of life.
