Ungyo (Nio Guardian)
Ungyo is the muscular guardian on the left side of Nandaimon Gate. He is depicted with a closed mouth, pronouncing the sound “Un,” symbolizing the end of all things and death. Together with Agyo, they represent the alpha and omega of the universe.
