The landscape around the Wat Tha Luang

The landscape around the Wat Tha Luang Ordination Hall is designed with grandeur and order. The Minor Viharn, a small Thai wooden pavilion featuring exquisite carvings, sits adjacent to the main hall to enhance architectural depth. The surrounding area is paved with orange terracotta tiles, contrasting beautifully with the lush green lawns. The grounds are decorated with geometric topiary and golden lotus-headed poles connected by chains to elegantly define the perimeter. Additionally, sculptures of literary characters and a holy water station shaped like a monk’s alms bowl are strategically placed to harmonize with the vista.
