The Shrine of Chao Mae Sri Mala is located within the Phichit Old City Park, near Chalawan Cave. According to the folk tale of Kraithong, "Sri Mala" was the daughter of a wealthy merchant in Phichit and the younger sister of Taphao Thong. The shrine was established to commemorate and allow visitors to pay respect to the spirit of Chao Mae Sri Mala according to local beliefs. The shrine is a small Thai-style structure, decorated with offerings and traditional Thai dresses presented by devotees seeking blessings or fulfilling vows.
