Byodo-in Saisho-in Temple
Byodo-in Saisho-in is a sub-temple located within the Byodo-in complex. Established in 1654, it belongs to the Tendai sect and is famous as the site of the ritual suicide (seppuku) of the warrior Minamoto no Yorimasa after his defeat at the Battle of Uji.
