Byodo-in Jodo-in
Jodo-in is a sub-temple established in 1496 for the restoration of Byodo-in Temple. Affiliated with the Jodo sect of Buddhism, it houses a seated Amida Buddha statue and valuable historical artifacts. Jodo-in, together with Saisho-in, shares the responsibility for the preservation of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
