  • Key Characteristics: This species is native to Japan. It is world-renowned for having the longest flower clusters of any wisteria species, sometimes exceeding 100 cm in length. Unlike the Chinese variety (Wisteria sinensis), the Japanese wisteria vines wrap around their support in a clockwise direction.
