The sanctuary, or religious building, within the Ban Phanna Castle in Sakon Nakhon Province is located southeast of the main prang (tower). Its base is constructed of laterite, and it has a rectangular plan, facing west towards the main castle. It served as a place for performing rituals or housing religious images, following the ancient concept of Arokayasala (hospital).
