“Glass skywalk offering a 360-degree panoramic view of Ranong city, where mountains, the town, and the sea can be seen all in one place.”
Ranong Skywalk is an eco-tourism project located within Raksawarin Public Park in Ranong Province. It was developed with the main concept of becoming a new landmark that harmoniously integrates modern architecture with the surrounding forest and existing natural ecosystem. The structure is designed as an elevated walkway above the forest canopy, allowing visitors to experience nature from a high vantage point without significantly disturbing the forest below. The pathway is carefully planned to follow natural contours and avoid cutting through important trees and ecological structures.
A key highlight is the transparent tempered glass floor, which allows visitors to clearly see the forest floor, streams, and trees underneath, creating a thrilling experience of walking in the air. The walkway features alternating solid and glass sections to help control the level of excitement and comfort for visitors. The surrounding environment is a lush tropical rainforest with high biodiversity, making the area cool and refreshing throughout the day. Mist often forms in the early morning or after rain, reflecting Ranong’s unique identity as the “city of eight rains and four sunshine.”
The skywalk is also designed as a gradual experiential journey, starting from lower ground and slowly ascending toward higher viewpoints. Along the route, there are several observation decks that offer different perspectives of the layered mountains and vast forest landscapes. In addition, the site is directly connected to the Raksawarin Hot Springs, allowing visitors to plan a complete trip that combines nature walking on the skywalk with relaxing mineral hot spring bathing for wellness and leisure.Overall, the Ranong Skywalk is not just a viewpoint, but an immersive tourism experience that combines scenic beauty, excitement, and relaxation in one destination.
