Bodhisattva Kannon
Kannon is the true spiritual anchor of Shitenno-ji. While the temple was built to honor the Shitenno for military victory, the Golden Hall was dedicated to Kannon to transform that power into mercy. The temple's holiness stems from the belief that Kannon is eternally present here to protect Japan.
