ปราสาทนครหลวง เป็นตำหนักที่ประทับในระหว่างเสด็จไปพระพุทธบาทที่สระบุรีและเป็นที่ประทับแรมในระหว่างเสด็จลพบุรี สันนิษฐานว่า สร้างในรัชกาลสมเด็จพระเจ้าทรงธรรม แต่มาสร้างเป็นที่ประทับก่ออิฐถือปูน ในรัชสมัย สมเด็จพระเจ้าปราสาททอง ในแผ่นดินนี้พระองค์โปรดให้ช่างไปถ่ายแบบปราสาทศิลาที่เรียกว่า "พระนครหลวง"
