Watsons Bay Half-Day Trip

Start your trip from Circular Quay by taking a ferry across Sydney Harbour to Watsons Bay Wharf. This ferry journey is one of the trip's highlights, offering beautiful views of Sydney Harbour,  Sydney Harbour Bridge,  Opera House, and the coastline along the way.

Upon arriving at Watsons Bay Wharf, begin your walk to The Gap, a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views of the vast Pacific Ocean and beautiful cliff formations from its steep sandstone cliffs. During May to November, there's a chance to spot migrating whales passing along the coastline.

From The Gap, continue your walk to Camp Cove Beach, a tranquil beach with clear, calm waters and a relaxing atmosphere along Sydney Harbour. This spot serves as a crucial link to the South Head Heritage Trail, a coastal walk that combines natural scenery, military history, and Sydney Harbour viewpoints all in one route.

Along the way, you can stop to enjoy the atmosphere at Lady Bay Beach, a small beach hidden beneath the cliffs, before continuing to Hornby Lighthouse, South Head's distinctive red-and-white striped lighthouse. From this point, you'll have expansive panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, Middle Head, North Head, and the Pacific Ocean.

After visiting the lighthouse, return to  Robertson Park and Watsons Bay to conclude your trip with an evening ambiance by the harbour. The expansive lawn, ferry views, and sunset reflecting on the water make this spot a perfect finale for your Watsons Bay half-day trip.
