Ungyo (The Left Guardian)
Standing on the left side of the gate is Ungyo, also known as Naraen Kongo. He is depicted with a closed mouth, forming the sound "Un," which symbolizes latent strength and the ultimate end of all things.
His muscular physique and focused expression represent internalized power. He is said to possess the strength of a hundred thousand elephants, acting as a spiritual shield that halts evil intentions before they enter.
