Founded in 1857 as two temples sharing the same wall, Wat Bot Manee Rat and Wat Si Bunruang were combined as Wat Bot Manee Si Bunruang in 1954 at the suggestion of Prince Vajirayanavarorasa. A guardian yak protects each corner of the golden chedi, which has an unusual portico at the front.
