Arun Ratchawararam Temple, also widely known as "the Temple of Dawn," is a first-class royal monastery with a rich history that traces back to the Ayutthaya period. The temple’s most distinctive feature is its magnificent Great Prang situated along the Chao Phraya River, adorned with intricate patterns crafted from antique Chinese porcelain and ceramic fragments. During the Thonburi era, this temple formed part of the royal palace complex and was the original home of the Emerald Buddha before its relocation to Wat Phra Kaew. Today, Wat Arun stands as not only a revered religious sanctuary but also a prominent symbol of Thailand, drawing visitors from across the globe to marvel at its splendor during sunrise and sunset.
