Phra Phuttha Thammisara Ratchalokethat Dilok is the principal Buddha image enshrined within the ordination hall of Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn). This Buddha image in the subduing Mara posture is exceptionally beautiful. Legend has it that King Rama II personally sculpted the model for the face. Its most significant feature is the pedestal (Chukchi Base), which contains the royal ashes of King Rama II, reflecting his profound connection to this representative temple. The ordination hall's interior is adorned with exquisite murals, enhancing the primary Buddha image's grandeur and spiritual power.
