Phra Phuttha Narumit is a standing Buddha image enshrined as the principal figure inside the Great Vihara of Wat Arun. This image holds great significance as the memorial Buddha image dedicated to King Rama II, commissioned by King Rama III in honor of his father. The statue exhibits the refined artistic style of the early Rattanakosin period, cast in metal and covered in brilliant gold leaf, situated upon an intricately decorated pedestal. Inside the image, sacred relics of the Buddha are enshrined, making it a prominent site for devotees to pay respects and pray for prosperity and auspiciousness in their lives.
